Alaska charter

Most visitors come to Ketchikan, Alaska for its charter fishing adventures. However, there is much more to do!

Southeast Alaska charter boat services venture into a vast, unspoiled landscape that attracts anglers from all over the world for incredible fishing adventures. If you would like to take such an excursion, make The Cedars Lodge in Ketchikan your headquarters. The cold, plankton-filled waters surrounding our lodge are habitat for five species of Pacific salmon, as well as cod, halibut, red snapper and sea bass.

When talking advantage of the comfortable accommodations at The Cedars Lodge, you will be mere steps away from the dock where your Alaska charter fishing trips begin and end. The boats we utilize for our saltwater excursions easily accommodate four to six people with enough storage for your catch. All of our fishing packages include bait, tackle and fish processing – vacuum packing and freezing your catch for the trip home. We charter floatplanes flown by some of the most experienced pilots in the area for our freshwater excursions.

When not trying to land a trophy salmon or halibut on our Alaska charter fishing excursions, take some time to discover nearby Ketchikan. Alaska’s fourth-largest city, the community boasts many galleries and hosts many art-themed special events throughout the year. With Alaska’s largest native Alaskan population, the charming town is home to the largest collection of totem poles in the world, which are on display at places such as Saxman Village, Totem Bight State Historical Park and the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center, which also features a native fish camp exhibit and a plethora of native baskets and crafts. Another favorite historical attraction is the Tongass Historical Museum, which preserves and interprets southeast Alaska’s history, art and culture through permanent and temporary exhibits.
